Duplicate Content on Quotes

    I have a myspace resource website and we have a section where we have quotes and obviously most of our quotes can be found on bunch of other websites. Does google consider this as "duplicates" and will it hurt my websites ranking?

    If you copy another page it will, but if you get 20 quotes from 20 different sites and combine them all on the one page it wont.

    You need to copy like 90% of someones website including the layout to get done for it. You should be fine with a few quotes.
