i recently started an autoblog but im not going to continue with it because ive been hearing google will just ignore it because of duplicate content. which is the only reason i started a blog, to have more backlinks to my forum with links on my blog. so ive decided to just post a couple of pics from my forum, which ive uploaded myself, with just links to the rest of the post on my forum, without any caption or text. will google read the html code for the images from my blog and see the same html from my forum and count it as duplicate content? and vice versa. i want to have some stuff, like celeb news. i cant even include the first paragraph from a news site and then link to its source? its gonna be duplicate content?
Google has been having a crack down on auto blogs, Yes that would be duplicating but you should take it from another site word to word.You can copy it from someone or get ideas from someone but try writing them in your own words.
It depends. I have a few auto blogs and google has always been kind to me. I think that too many people fall into the myth that google will ban a blog for duplicate content. Which is just a myth, as google has never doen such a thing. Now, posting the first few paragraphs of a story, news item or article?> You are okay. Google is NOT going to penalize you, google is NOT going to ban you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geesh, the people who on forums tell others that duplicate content is terrible, blah blah blah blah and google will ban you blah blah blah. Not one of them know what they are saying!
