Duplicate content - how much of a beat down is it?

    I am considering using the occasional article from ezinearticles on my blog, probably once or twice a month (so about 2-4% of my total posting). How much does Google penalise me, or any other search engine, for this. Would it just not be worth it or is it small enough duplicate content useage that it wont matter so much?

    I would just read the article you are interested in and rewirte it using paraphrasing etc. Any duplicate content and you can suffer

    xD - you won't get penalised. Just the page using the article may not be indexed thats all. Don't worry about penalisation.

    Why add a page that wont get indexed though? You are adding little value to your site...

    Duplicate penalty isn't as bad as people make it out to be here. Of course it is better to rewrite the ezine articles slightly to avoid it.
