If you basically copy articles from ezine, post them on your blog, is this considered duplicate content? And will my site get penalized?

Google usually doesn't bother unless you're making a lot of money with that content. They might not ban your account but they will remove ads from that particular website.

Why do you want to mess the web? Write original if you are serious about making money.

Google can view it as a duplicate content. But I am not sure which article will be considered as an original. For example if I write an article and post it to e-zines directories (for example 100) and also on my website. So which way the goo.. will know which article is original?

Yup your site will get penalized (i mean lower or no rankings). Never copy articles from any site without permission.

if the site ranks well for some popular term for a bit, other webmasters may find alot of your sites articles as duplicates from a tool like copyscape. No doubt competition will report the site.

yes ,Google Penalized the copy or fake contents .It 's spider can detect very small content if you copied from other source like Ezine and other site.So beware of doing this .Always make your own content.

Yes, google penalize them, like it will show one of the most relevant duplicate content, not both.

Google doesnt penalize for copying content to your website , but if you exagerate on copying the whole site it will be a problem .

I had 10 blogs and I have used articles from directories to fill them with articles, it works for one year and then google shut down my adsense account saying my content was somehow duplicate. few days after one of my domains got banned by google in the SERP.

You must avoid to use the duplicate content but you can read all the posts and websites which is related to your niche. Then you can share it in your way with your original content not duplicate content. Thanks

re-read your question and common sense will prevail ;)

No, it just won't rank for anything because only the original version you copied from will.

I suggest you to re write article if you really dying to copy one
but dont just mess you site with duplication. the article at sites like ezine get listed than other blogs, so google can easily judhge the duplicate content, I dont think google will ban, but you will get no ranking, also if user just google something they will get ezine at top. who will come to you?

News has been going around that search engines don't like duplicate content. But to be safe, I think you should write original articles to avoid plagiarism, and to benefit your website. If you plan to copy the exact thing, you should at least credit the source.

    Well Duplicate is duplicate!

But again..there are so many sites having duplicate content. But I think, if you are providing the source, it won't be problem.
