Hi, I have posted another thread about duplicate content penalty, but was deleted. May be I was too conctrete. When I do a google search by specific keywords, in firsr page result are four sites with different domain name, but with almost same content. Sure that Google cannot ban them, but in SERPs should be displayed only site with original content. What do you think about? Thanks for your input.
I am a firm believer that when Google detects duplicate content they will rank or sort these websites by visitor traffic and other relevant popularity factors. They do not penalize or ban for dup. content. At least not yet.
I think the page that gets indexed first is tagged as the original. Dupe content is then ranked according to normal SEO factors.
if it is true, then it will be disaster, since it simply means the first one that has been indexed by google is the king. Since google bot visits sites randomly, so, it really depends on your luck whether your content will be the first one indexed in google. temp
That's why it's always worth checking that article on your site have been indexed before submitting them. I believe that there are other factors that come in to play such as the link poularity of the page in question - nothing is black and white with Google.
Hi, Take me a long time to find this thread that I created. Problem is that if someone has good site, he can duplicate it that in the first SERP for specific keywords are only his sites and his competitors have no chances. Can I post here more concretely (specific keywords and URLs)? Thanks.
