Everyday seo specialist talk over and over again about the dangers of duplicate content, but churnism have been the normal thing for the day especially among science research websites like sciencedaily.com, phys.org, humanbioscience.org eureka alert etc. How does google still rank them high its confusing. Google says no duplicate content but still rank content churnalists. Can anybody enlight me??
Usually those articles are regurgitated in a way that the bot doesn't mark them as plagiarism. But the real reason those types of sites are at the top is their popularity / longevity. I don't care how well written and/or unique your content is if your site is 3 months old, chances are it's not going to be found on the first, second, third pages of Google.
They are just rewritten in a way to avoid penalties for duplicate content and are highly optimized. It's still human made content, which is quite popular, that's why Google ranks it high.
People mistake duplicate content for a penalty because of the way Google handles it. It is simply filtering out the duplicate results and the most authoritative websites will rank above the other results.
Sometimes they republish articles from another source but they use the canonical tag in their site to avoid marking as duplicate
And it can be used for checking duplicate pages/posts on multiple domains/cross domains. Do you know that?
We always want to find a shortcut, avoid if you can. Original is real and relevant and google loves it. They are already so big i guess they know how to avoid such penalties
because i think google also consider the visitor experience on the website, if they stay long on that page meaning they read the article thus get higher point.
