    Hey all!

Excited to start writing the content for my first real site, but I was hoping you could fill in a few blanks for me before I start?

Firstly, what's the best way to check the articles I write for duplicate content?

Secondly, what length should my articles be? I've been absorbing a lot of posts here that state articles should be short and sweet, I think 250 words(ish) is enough for a human visitor to skim, but is that long enough for the search engines to understand and index my pages?

Finally, I've been reading a lot about a 301 redirect, how do I go about employing one of those on my site?

Replies are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    FrediDoo.

what I do is create a test page then put my article on it and save

Now enter the URL of the test page into the box here - press go and watch the magic begin

I suggest between 250-300 words per article, thats enough to make Google happy

(for your information... Ezinearticle's editorial guidlines state that a minimum of 250 words is required).

There is an excellent explanation of a 301 redirect here
