Duplicate Blog Content - Moving to new blog

I just moved my blog from blogger to a wordpress blog with its own domain. I imported all of my entries from the old blog to the new blog as I want it to have content and history. I put my final post on the old blog to announce the link of the new blog.

So, will my new blog get penalized for duplicate content? I don't want to give up the seo on the old blog until my new one takes off. Should I just bite the bullet and delete all my entries on the old blog except the one directing readers to the new blog?

Since you can't 301 redirect with blogger here is my suggestion....

    1. Using robots.txt block all duplicated posts on the new domain.

    2. Slowly using Google Webmasters Central Remove post by post from their index from blogger, make sure to insert the correct noindex robot meta tag.

    3. After you get the confirmation of removal in Google Webmasters Central unblock it in the robots.txt file on the new domain.

Thanks for the response. Somehow I knew the best solution would be somewhat involved.
