Anyone familiar with the Google ad code? And how Google determines if an ad is a duplicate?

And how we can prevent duplicate ads from Google servers on our site?

We use 3 different size Google ads on our pages, and sometimes they'll put the same
ad in the 3 different places.

Anyone know anything about how to prevent this?

    Thanks

Nope! I quite often get two ads the same. I really wouldn't lose sleep over it though, as no one at google will be doing. I wouldn't waste another second worrying about it if I were you though. Don't try and change what you can't fix.
Also a key factor to note is that the ads that are showing to you could well be very different to those displayed to your visitors e.g. I cycle a lot and look at new bicycles on line a lot, so even when I'm on my own sites my adsense pulls up bike ads, even though my sites not about bikes. So whilst they are contextual the ads are clearly also "Smart" to see a good example of this go and look at cars on cars.com and then go to a site running adsense, when I do this the adsense ads pull up "cars.com" ads of the cars I've just been looking at. Now that is smart, but also shows your problem, probably isn't one that all your visitors have.
