Hi Guys, Can I clarify something? Whilst optimising a site with 2-3 selected keywords per page on/off page optimisation, with a total collection of 100 keyphrases, do I really have to write ~30 separate articles/pieces of content for page? I was wondering if the dupe content filter really kicks in when you have the exact copy duplicated for the same keyphrases on different pages. If the copy is 99% the same, but the keyphrase is different and the location of the page is different, does that risk the wrath of the dupe god.. The site is in the financial sector..which is SO competitive you have to waaaaaaayyy overthink things, key"phrase" stuff pages and consider optimising pages for refinance WITH bad credit refinancing AND bad credit bad credit refinance and a page for refinance WITH poor credit refinancing AND poor credit poor credit refinance it has to be done because from our PPC stats plenty of people search and click on all of these derivatives... It's very difficult to write engaging vibrant different copy on a set of 2 x 3keyphrases like that. Wd I really have to write different copy for each page?
is this illustration of dupe content valid.. I can see the spiders have to return at most one result for each website and performing the below I could easily see it as being black hat Consider keyphrase "blue widget" on a single domain: Optimised page found at http://www.xxxx.com/blue-widget.html and a duplicate page with exact on page coding/copy hosted at http://www.xxxx.com/new-products/blue-widget.html How is this different (probably not much!) Consider keyphrase "blue widget" on a single domain: Optimised page found at http://www.xxxx.com/blue-widget.html and a page with the exact on-page HTML optimised for "red widget" hosted at http://www.xxxx.com/new-products/red-widget.html now If i was searching for "blue widget" on a search engine I could only get one page back from xxxx.com in that situation...? Its all very well trying to write different copy for each term but when the keywords/phrases are so important, so "boring", very similar yet ever so slightly different confused: ) due to an adverb/adjective do I really have to go to the trouble to write a block of completely different copy...
