    Hey.

Just wanted to let you guys know about a dumb rule you have. Must wait 60 seconds between reporting posts is dumb. I'm trying to help you guys get rid of spam, yet you make me wait 60 seconds between reports?

I think you should get rid of it.

:D It prevents spam. I'm trying to push for premium members to get no delay in between reports.

But what I'm saying is it should be removed, because who really would want to flood the report system?

If you really want to help DP then don't complain, looks to me you're not really into helping DP but just being triggerhappy-report-posts-button! You've just showed everyone that you are just pissed with some of the posts here and got all the more pissed when you can't report posts successively.

Again, don't complain! and the rules are there for a reason so follow them.

Actually, I was trying to report spam threads and posts saying "PM Sent", which is against Rules. I am trying to help the Moderators and give them less work.

Looks to me you're not only complaining about "PM Sent" posts but with the 60 second rule as well. ;)

Well that's good to hear and I'm doing my part here as well in monitoring members (mostly in SEO and Google) that posts one liners and report them to the mods. I don't have a problem with the 60 second rule because that is a rule that I have to follow and which I think, you should simply follow as well. :)

You have a valid point, and "dumb rule" was probably the wrong term to use. I just think it should be lowered to help us members help DP more. :)

I agree that reputed or premium members should be able to bypass the report delay all together/have less time to wait.

If you think about it, 60 seconds in between reports kind of long time to wait.

I remember reporting about 50 thank you / post count / link drops posts
and it took me almost 1 hour whereas, if wait time was set to 10 seconds I could finish
reporting in about 15 minutes. Spending extra 45 minutes is kind of counterproductive.

    My 2c.

Even if they set it to 30 seconds it would help.

They have the rule so some idiot doesn't make a bot that "reports" every post or something and that would be a living nightmare for the people who handle the reports.

10 Seconds for Premium Members = Perfect :D
30 Seconds for Established Members = Good :D
    60 Seconds for Regular People

In my opinion, those times/delays would be perfect.

I don't know how easy it would be to code something that removes the time limit. Personally, if you can't wait a measly minute then you shouldn't even be in marketing.

It's probably just a vB setting... But it would take some custom coding to get the individual delays removed/edited for each member group.

Nice idea :) However it is also somewhat tempting, in a sense that Premium or at least Establish members can go trigger happy with reporting posts. Still, it is a good idea.

Limit the time for 30 seconds seems to be FAIR enough for me, may it be premium, established or just normal members to me.
