Dumb Newbie Question. Please forgive me!!!

    Ok, Not even sure this is in the right place. Please tell me, what is PR ? As in PR3 or PR4 etc. Thanks!

    That's a perfectly good question. There have been lots of threads about PR or PageRank. Basically, it is a numerical measure of a page's value as deemed by Google. A page's PageRank or PR is achieved via direct links from other pages with PR (like a vote). Basically, if you get a lot of links to a certain page from sites with high pr, you can expect to get some pr on that page yourself.

    Some other facts:

    PageRank is calculated using a logarithmic scale so that 2 PR 4 pages don't equal one PR 8 page. It would take thousands of PR 4 pages to have the same value as one PR 8 page.
    PR is one of hundreds of factors in Google's algorithm for calculating the rankings in the SERPs (search engine results page).
