    Why I rank for 1 keyword but different positions?

    Example:

    If you search

    "Travel" position 7.
    SEMrush
    If you serach

    "travel" position 10.

    Google distinguishes uppercase and lowercase in serps?

    it really happens sometimes.. i think this is a glitch, this issue is been around for while..

    I've never heard of Google ranking based on lowercase or uppercase. My guess is that it is a temporary bug.

    I remembered reading an article from google themselves saying that they treat uppercase and lowercase the same.

    noticed that too that's why I always focus on keywords using lowercase coz most of keywords we used in searching are all typed in lowercase..

    Yes, the same experience happenned with me as well. But I think you need to consider that result which is shown in google when you type the keyword in lowercase as generally people follow this trend.

    This should not happened because Google treat uppercase and lowercase same.
    Although, "Travel" mustn't have good search volume while "travel" has good search volume.
    So, try to concentrate on link building again with your keyword "travel".

    No way the upper/lower case makes a difference - people are too lazy to use upper case, and google knows that.
