Not exactly, but considering that the conservatives are the minority, I wouldn't exactly say we are "sheep" or "lemmings" to the majority/crowd. Since liberals and democrats are the majority now, as seen by unfortunate national poll results, they if anybody are the "sheeple".

    Oh really?

Sheeple is not a political affiliation, it's a state of mind. The door swings both ways when applied to politics, dems and reps, there are sheeple in both parties no doubt.

I remember a time when there was common sense applied to decisions. It's sad that americans have lost that in favor of affiliation. :(

Britain's are philosophical father. I'm just wondering how the UK got so liberal (in the American sense of the word)...?

You would love it if you had a good pair of boots or a nice stump in the yard. ;)

But I have to admit, I have no clue what a moonbat is. Last time I encountered a bat under the moon, my jaw got broke. But you shoulda seen the other guy!

That sounds like the story of the yarhoop that destroyed the one legged mans crops using methane directional back squirting. He ended up as a councillor in the water department with long pants and suspenders. He died from ephectoral armpit ceasures, aged 91. :D

It has a number of connotations.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonbat
I suppose for some, it might actually be a compliment. But for the most part, it's a general purpose label not unlike sheeple, neocon, nutjob, slapnuts, numbnuts, young angry white males with low IQs.

I still prefer to use "liberal". It seems like enough of an insult. ;)

Here we go again.. Gas up, Bush's fault. Gas down, Bush's fault.

Historically the end of September has always seen a decrease in gas prices in the past. End of the summer driving season.

    1. Lower demand (end of summer driving season)
    2. BP is pumping and pipeline looks as though it will be fixed ahead of schedule.
    3. New discovery in Gulf by Chevron, will likely account for 50% of all US oil.
    4. No major storms/hurricanes to speak of messing with production this year.
    5. War on terror is going extremely well!

Just remember that if Bush were not president you could tack another .50/cent per gallon onto those figures. That's 50 cents PLUS!

People have become supicious of all of his actions because of his actions.

But on this one, your points are valid. We have to wait two months and see what happens.

I think demand is a very important factor.

I think heating oil and gasoline are mutually exclusive.

Why didn't diesel come down? Diesel used to be half the price of gasoline.

So many questions, so few answers.

There was a day an entire city could have all the people working in reasonable distance for all it's citizens. Then the corps brought out all the smaller business and consolidated the industries creating the need for working people to drive in some case 2 hours to work.

    We called it progress.

I guess I'm just so used to any little thing being mentioned that makes the prices go up!

storms, violence, demand, sheik needs a new yacht,...

here's a good article - different blends! winter blend is cheaper to produce!!
