i would just like to point out xenon is a chemical they dont make servers run on chemicals yet i think you may mean xeon and hardrive cant be 1000gb it would have to be either 2 x 500 gb on raid 0 striping or a 1024bg hdd which are very unstable.and also if your using tier 1 bandwidth it would have to be in the us or the uk as these are te only countries that have tier 1 networking.what carriers are you using and is it a vlaned carrier or just straight through
I got a little carried away on the promo and did misspell Xeon, they are the 1950-Clovertown thanks for pointing it out sentest. I caught myself on the HDD and the next time I posted http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=79116 I made mention there that they were (2x) 500GB SATA We like to set them up as one large 1000 GB drive becuse usually they are used as video share servers and the makes the most sense to our clients. The data center caro.net is located in the US and we use BGP4 routing on all our tiers and we are multi homed Are you asking about vlans which can be setup between servers ? BW is 100.00 for each TB The ram is 45.00 to upgrade to 6 GB and 75.00 to upgrade to 8GB Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.
Hi Jason, You may have already seen that it should have been Xeon The 1000 Gb HDD is actually (2x) 500GB SATA Here is the speed test http://speedtest.clt.carohosting.com The data center is Caro.net You bandwidth is dedicated not shared 10 users downloading at around 1Mbps files will use 100% of the 10Mbps port Those same 10 users will use only around 10% of the capacity on a hundred 100Mbps port The only drawback to the 100Mbps port is that if you had a lot of unrestricted outbound traffic the whole 2 TB of traffic could be used in a couple of days. I am very familiar with Caro.net I host 8 Servers there! And have for 1 Year So from what you just stated you are in fact capping each server at 10Mbps ~ 2,000GB Dedicated to 10 servers! Correct ? Because being a authorized reseller of Caro I know the cost of 100Mbps Dedicated is well over $500 per server. Thanks for your clear up! Jason
Hope this clears it up Jason. The BW is dedicated not shared, each server has a 100Mbps port but it isn't an unmetered port so that if someone goes over the 2TB of BW then there is an overage charge.
from experiance with caro ips are $1 a piece and you have to orderin blocks like /28 /26 stuff like that

I am still not sure how you can offer a dedicated 100mbps line for that price, I am interested in the server as i was going to get one at caro but I dont want to buy 5 (as there special states) but your offer with the dedicated line makes wonder if you are for real. I chat with the head guys over there on a daily basic and for a dedicated port it is going to cost you.
Jason if you talk to them all the time just ask them if "I'm real" Might be a better way to go then suggest that something may not be right with me here in a public forum and raise a doubt about my reputation before my potential clients I have sent you a pm of the name of the person I deal with at Caro. I think you maybe getting mixed up between Dedicated Bandwidth and Unmetered Ports
