hating on drupal right now! wordpress is so much easier to just download a template then edit the template to your liking
There is no question that WP has a much shorter learning curve and can get you going faster. If all you need is a reasonably basic site its great. There are also some really nice plugins that you can add in to get some more advanced functionality. You will usually have to pay for the best ones, but its usually worth it. Drupal is a bit different - its more of a CMS framework. The downside is that it can take longer to figure it out and you end up having to build it out more (not necessarily with code, though). The upside is that its incredibly flexible and highly customizable. You can actually do more with Drupal without having to code than you can with Wordpress... and you can build real web applications. In the end, it really depends on what you need. Personally, I choose Drupal most of the time because I want to be able to customize the system exactly the way I like, and I want to know I can easily extend it in the future. But, I am pretty comfortable with Drupal and how it works.
You can't compare those, Drupal is a framework. Wordpress is a blogging engine. You can say that you can make any website etc... Many modules... Well you probably do small projects then.
Also prefer WordPress as it seems more user friendly and advanced when it comes to easy auto updates, quick configuration, easy setup, interface. Drupal is more rigid to work with.
WordPress. Simple to use, highly effective, a lot of developers for it, tons of plugins to help you accomplish what you want for your site.
Hi both are good but my concern wordpress good because easy to use customized and update & security use all user so i recommend Wordpress
I always wanted to upload posts in bulk via a text or .csv file. I'm having trouble doing in WP. Is Drupal better for this by chance? I know, however, it may have something to do with my limited knowledge of using .csv, and I don't have a whole lot of CSS or HTML experience.
I like WordPress, good plugins for SEO, blog posting. My site appdevelopment.com was first in Drupal then we migrate it to WordPress. Before that it was very difficult to manage now its very easy to mangae in WordPress.
It's really simple website, so you can build it on wordpress if you are not so familiar with drupal. When you need large scale websites with a lot of configuration and functionality, also multilingual then you can bin wordpress.
I am worked on both CMS. If anyone who needs lightweight, simple and blog site.Wordpress is best and If who needs powerful, multifunctional, large website, extendable etc.Drupal is good idea . You can also see the web portfolio which I have done in wordpress and Drupal. http://www.krishnakumargupta.com/web-portfolio/
I agree with you. Wordpress community is huge and you can find all sorts of plugins and themes for your website.
WordPress is simple and great for basic sites. Another advantage is a lot of beautiful templates. But if you want more complex site there comes Drupal. Highly customizable it is more framework than cms.
arrgg.. have only use drupal once on one site salveovita.com, it's okay but I don't find it a good cms. Maybe in time, I will...
Many people go for Wordpress or Drupal or Joomla CMS because of their massive popularity and add-on availability, but until you don't try other content management system how will you know if any of the other CMS would have suited your needs. As concerned as which I like most it’s depend upon according to need But if you want quickly setup and make money than Wordpress is best option.
I use Drupal at work and wordpress for my own sites. Wordpress is super easy to install and customize and has tons of free options. Its perfect for what my personal needs are, mostly blogging and simple shopping websites. I recently started using Drupal at work and realized how powerful it is. It was a little of a learning jump from wordpress but its great and can offer more as a CMS. I found it simple to use if you need it to be but as advanced as you would ever want it.
