Drupal to Joomla --- How easy or hard to convert modules?

I used to use Drupal but have found Joomla to be much mor straightforward. Is it terribly difficult to convert a Drupal module to Joomla? I would like to convert the Paypal donation module that displays who donates and how much.

it will be a lot easier to just take a joomla module & extend it to display who donates how much..

I got really excited to see a post on Joomla to write components then found that only one step in the tutorial worked.

 it can't be any harder than coding drupal modules. especially not converting drupal mods to joomla mods.

there is a plethora of information on developing modules, components & mambots.. this should get you started..
    http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/topic,47524.0.html
    http://dev.joomla.org/component/option,com_jd-wiki/Itemid,32/
    http://help.joomla.org/content/section/12/125/
    http://forum.joomla.org/index.php/board,60.0.html

and like i said just grab one of the GNU GPL paypal donation modules & extend it to store the username/amount/date in a db table & display it in the module.

it will still be easier for whoever you get to do it to just build upon an existing joomla mod instead of converting a drupal one. my $0.02
