    Hi,
Is there a module or ready made script that creates a marketplace? Lets say I would like to create a marketplace like fiverr or elance.

    Thanks

Drupal module commerce is the best available. You might find some installation profile that has the modules included. But still Drupal is framework to build your marketplace, if you need simple fast solution use opencart or something like that.

AFAIK until this post date :

Drupal 6 : ubercart + ubercart markeplace module = Most stable but drupal 6 will not be supported when drupal 8 released
Drupal 7 : No plug and play module, need to combine several module like organic groups + commerce or use drupal 7 ubercart + unstable ubercart market place

I'm sorry, but that is only your opinion and I personally think that is only partially true. It really depends on what you want to do. Can you for example show me the Wordpress alternative to Drupal's amazing CCK? I mean, taxonomies are nice but Drupal's CCK is amazingly better from my point of view. But if you're looking at it from a design perspective, you are of course right. I also find WP much easier to design and code thant Drupal

*don't want to flame here though*
