    Hello There!

    I have a friend who needs a website. He is a musician/songwritter.

He told me to make him a website using drupal (which I've heared of ... a lot) because he used to post content from such a CMS and would be easy for him to use.

Now, I've never installed or used drupal before so here are my questions:

    1. Is it hard to install?
    2. Do I need something special on the webserver, then the things phpFusion uses? (I mean, something like a php module)
    3. Is there any official site were I can find cool drupal themes? (I saw on their website some.. but they wouldn't suite a musician website)
    4. I want you to tell me what plugins should I add

    Here's what the friend needs:
    - Post News
    - Post Events
    - Post Songs/Download Links
    - Post Lyrics To Songs
    - Photo Gallery
    - Video Gallery
    - E-Mail Subscription

So? Can anyone guide me on the things I would need to set him up such a website?

    Thanks in advance

It's easy to install, you install from cpanel Fantastico or learn from the Installation guide

For free theme you can find here

You need to take it one step at a time, but for sure Drupal can please your friend. Try to install it first, yes the server needs to run php, but which server doesn't?
Try to get a linux based server with php, at dreamhost for instance, create a mysql database and start from there.
