I was looking at drupal the other day and im pretty new to CMS's I was wondering can drupal be used to basically make a social community thats what it seems like. There tons of mods too and drupal seems very fast and smooth and not to heavy on the cpu etc.

    What do you guys think?

Check out itvidya com built on Drupal

I like Drupal for one feature: single signon [or is it called signin ?] Basically other Drupal site members can login using the same login id and password. THere is an option to turn it off in case you prefer members to be exclusive to your site.

I like Drupal for the SEO end of it. I tend to have better luck with Drupal in the SERPs ... it could just be me.
Also Joomla has a cool addon called Community Builder. Its been several months since I looked at that. Either way let us know which wya you choose to go with all the advice!

Ive been testing out both scripts drupal and joomla for a couple of days now drupal doesnt seem that complicated as people were saying lol. And if drupal is better SEO i think ill use it. I am just worried how many users these can handle if i use it for a social community
