Hello is there any difference between dropped/banned domains? I want to buy domain which is available..but google search shows no result for that domain..& archive shows it was used in 2008.. does this mean it is dropped or banned?
dropped domains are domains which are not renewed after their validity period. banned domains are domains which are marked by google for indulging in black hat seo methods.its not wise to register banned domains. you can find a banned domain by using this http://www.iwebtool.com/google_banned
ofcourse google will index dropped domains. it punishes only the banned ones... check the dropped domain if it is a banned one before you register.
I bought a domain dropped after 4 years and it turned out that it was a good investment, and I have no problem with Google .. go on with the dropped domains

Well even if it was banned you can request a reindex with google and you have to use the google webmaster tools for that. it's fine if you only have a couple of domains but it could be difficult if you have a lot of domains not indexed.
@ save who will waste time for reconsideration? I had bought 2 info domain before(5 months before) just like this ..but google is not indexing them yet.. So thinking twice before buying..
