Google have seemed to dropped my website on some of my main keywords, the site has not been banned as still ranking on some keywords??? what could this be??? can you be banned on certain search terms?? I need help on this as cant find the answer anywhere..

    Thanks

You might need to provide the url & keywords to get any answers.

The Google ranking algorithm is always changing. So I assume you just took a hit after one of the algorithm updates.

Another possibility is that some of your backlinks may have lost their PR. This could bring down your rankings for the link anchor text used on any site that dropped in PR.

Thanks for your response the domain is www.bekinky.co.uk , I have thought of these things myself, but i have dropped out of the top 300 positions on certain keywords where before I was ranking in the 20s,,, it just seems strange that I should disapear completely off the results,,, take keyword "sex toys" was ranking in top 20 for this key phrase at one stage,, but now cannot be seen in top 300......

For that drastic a drop it sounds like a penalty, but I don't see why it would only be applied to certain keywords. Perhaps someone reported your website as spam for those keywords. When you submit a spam report you do get to specify the search term & url. You would think any penalties would affect the entire site though.

Did you change anything at all 4 or 5 months ago?
