Dropped Domains? If it's bad why?

I was wondering, I've seen some people sell never dropped before domain. What I buy dropped domain 10+ years old with lots of backlinks and listed in DMOZ, Yahoo! indexes? Will it stay there once I make a web site with this domain? I understand now that I don't have to worry much about PR since this thing changes every 3 months and can go up or down depending on backlinks/content..

They will go even you set up a similar website. But you can keep updating and optimizing your website to make
things better.I still think whether the domain are long aged or not is not that important. You should find the most
    suitable domain for your website.

Steve, what domain you'd buy if you were to start a new web site? Would it be old/new, PR/NO Pr, dropped/never dropped domain , what criteria you'd be looking for?

    Hello,
Well i myself, picked up a fair few of my domains from drop lists, there is advantages and disadvantages of both, it may have been a spam site, fake pr site so be blacklisted pr wise, or google adsence blocked it becuase of the previous owner.

when starting a new site i try and think of a name if i do not think of a good name i just search drop lists to see if i spot something i like, pr is no big issue as pr changes fairly often oviously its better it the site is pr10 as it means it has high authority with google but pr is not the be all and end all when buying a name, same with dropped, never dropped, there is negative and possitive of both but ultimatly it really doesnt matter if its dropped or not, on the odd occassion you may buy a duff domain e.g a blacklisted on google adsence, black hat site, or something but in my exprence and opinion they are the exception to the rule.. again if its a good name, then you can probably undo any damage that was previously done althought it may take time.

ultimatly its up to you, everyone has there own opinions, some like dropped others dont, i personally am not overally bothered if its been dropped or not, or if it has pr or not, becuase i can always build that up myself.
