I catched a dropping domain , and now after few months someone claiming, i hacked his site, and threatning for legal actions is it wrong to register a dropping/expired domain, I got it through snapnames.com, its not a copyrighted or company name, its just a linkdirectory domain
you shouldn't worry about it. it's their fault if they dropped it... I bet the person doing that has never owned it before.
Just don't offer to sell it to them! If you want to sell, make them bring up the subject. Otherwise you look like a squatter.
I will not sell it, as he send me court order/petition number, its correct or not (the number) i dont know, but i am not going to sell it, nor affraid of his treats. thanks for the advice
If it was a dropped domain, then he can't do anything to get it back. Its his fault if he let it drop. Just don't worry about it and keep the domain.
An actual court order or, say, a cease and desist letter? There's a difference between the two. If it's an actual court order, your registrar should've received one and locked the domain name to prevent the registrant field (at least) from being changed and what not. Otherwise they'll do diddly squat until upon receipt of such or for a UDRP dispute. Consult an attorney who specializes in these things if need be.
no not real order, he send it to me by email, only the court order number saying he filed an legal action. He is trying to fool me , I think soooooo And as you people said, its a dropped domain so I will not sell it. if he send's a real court order, then sure i will hire a lawyer . thanks for the advice. I just got another email : , mentioning i had to take his permission before i bought this domain, any thing i dont know.1st you must have to ask me before take this domain in ur custdy now it may be problemetic to you i have send all detail IP reports to Cyber Team of India Gov. you may consulnt with me if you want to do satelment. Thank you
I already said, that if he makes more problem, i am going to sue him for blaming me - That i hacked his site, and took the domain.
