Dropped Domain and indexing problem

I registered a domain for a health site and later realized it was dropped once.

I created a site with 30 pages and started building backlinks. Most often if I get a backlink from digg.com or stumbleupon.com the site gets indexed in 48 to 72 hrs approximately.

For this site it is almost 8 days. In my server log I see that Google bot has spidered my site twice (6th June and yesterday). But none of the pages including the home page are not showing up in google results.

Should I consider submitting a xml sitemap via google webmaster tools?

Moreover even in Yahoo the home page is indexed. But there is no title or description in the result page.

    W'd appreciate your advice.

it will take time for the site to get indexed... sometimes more than a month, even if you have good backlinks
