Normally I go with the flow - but it seems all this month I have been seeing revenue less than adsense levels. Anyone else noticing this? I'm also noticing a lot more low paying ads...I'll have to figure out whats going on and see if targetting is screwed up or something.

I was doing very well for the first 4 days of this month, but it has certainly dropped for the last couple of days.

YPN has never dropped down below Adsense for my sites, so I'm still happy with them.

I think that the 'problem' is YPN's targeting system kinda works now - not based on the category you chose, but based on the content of the page. My site is displaying a bunch of low-paying keywords now. Huge drop this month for me.

One reason is because it's summer time now and traffic is dropping for me. Is anyone else's traffic dropping?

Or am i just slacking around. :)

Yeah I'm getting much lower traffic. Everybody i know always says there's less traffic in summer so i was prepared anyway. But i think there's less traffic because people are on vacations and stuff like that.

Summer is generally speaking bad for the internet. Everbody is out enjoying the sun.

People still work though Franky and if your trying to get ages between 16-24, most of them get jobs in the summer and they probably arn't home on the pc going to your site, lol.

I am having the same problem guys. During the school time, I get about 100k impressions on my ads, during the summer it dropped all the way to 7 - 9 thousand.

Honestly, I hate summer now :p I would rather go to school and get rich :D

I always anticipate less revenue when summer rolls around. Just the way it is. The peak months for all my sites are September through December--If I don't do well during these months, then I know something is terribly wrong.

even if the traffic drops, the epc shouldn't drop with it.

my ypn epc has plummeted over the last couple of weeks, and it's down by well over 50% so far this month.

I believe my issue is the target is f'ed up because my traffic grows in the summer and I am still pretty low today compared to yesterday. I've seen hosting, dating, marketing ads on education targeted ads.

Over the last few years I have been averaging about a 25% drop in traffic during the summer months.

My EPC has dropped majorly - I believe its just do to some oddball ads showing up. I'm playing with targetting and blocking to see if I can get it back on track.

I have slowed slightly, but its not too bad. I haven't been around long enough to know if this is true, but is there a monthly cycle to AdWords advertising that can cause lower early month earnings and higher click values at the end of the month as people revise and refine theoir campaigns?

Yep I've seen quite a big drop. Some is due to Big Daddy, but I suspect a lot is due to sunny weather (comparing to similar trends last year).

Roll on free wi-fi, lets get those sun lovers back online :D

Y! just spent about $60 million to buy a piece of a South Korean e-commerce company. The cause of the EPC drop? Maybe. I recall that whenever G spent large chucks of cash on something, EPC almost always dropped.

Of course, I don't work for YPN, so it's just IMO.

The impression # that YPN shows is ad views, not page views. So if you have 3 ad blocks on a page it'd show 3x pageviews.

No noticeable drop here yet in traffic, although the eCPM changes dramatically from day to day on the same website with the same # of pageviews having same CTR.

I'm holding steady on all my ypn stats - traffic, ctr and epc. My adsense, however, has dropped a lot in epc this month.
