I've been working on this site - Beauty Bay - for a long time now and it has always done really well in the search engines. That was until recently, in the past couple of weeks it seems to be dropping further and further down the listings. Has anyone got any idea why this is happening? Does anyone know how i can fix this? Need help ASAP please!!
There is a Google update going on, I suggest that you do not be overtly worried, track for a week or more.
Your site may not been receiving links for ages.. try to build some relevant inbound links and see if it comes up again
I don't think your serp would drop without any reason Possible reasons: linking with bad neighborhood paid links over optimized or applying of black hat technique or simply your competitors, remember SERP changes a often as everyday and its not only optimizing a site
There could be the possibility that you all of a sudden got a large number of incoming links or are getting them which does not fit with the usual amount of links you get in the same time, and google may be thinking that you are spamming links. Try finding out how many incoming links you had and compare them to before. You will have to examine each of the possible causes. You should start with what mhaye has outlined. Process of elimanation is your best chance of figuring out what is wrong.
