drop down text (not in a table)

    Is there any way of creatin a drop down text list which is not contained within a table?

    I have a list and when you hover over it I want the text a drop down menu to appear. any ideas?

    Some are better than others. Some of the better ones are by Mike Cherim, htmldog (look for Son of Suckerfish), Eric Meyer's at meyerweb, or really simple stuff at A List Apart. You could use Stu Nichol's menus (cssplay.co.uk) but his are rather complicated and I've found that I can usually eliminate a third of his code and still have it work.

    Eh I use Linux, no games here : )

    It just sounded like a "Does a bear..." question. There was actually zero sarcasm in there (I hope it didn't sound like it).
