Drop down menu hides behind other div

    As you can see, my navigation dropdown goes behind the div below when I drop it down. I tried fixing this with z-index (which works), but then the div below doesn't work anymore (as in: you can't select text, click on links, etc). Can anyone help me out?

    P.s. Note that the div bottom right is still z-index'd. Bottom left isn't.
