I got a drop domain and I read somewhere that Google doesn't give importance on drop domain.
    1. How would this affect my website?
    2. What should I do about it?

note: I never know that it is a drop domain until recently while I was researching about the domain that I have used.

Dropped domains are treated as a brand new domain. If there were existing backlinks it should eventually count them if the niche is the same or similar. You just don't get the age benefit of owning a domain that has been continuously registered for a number of years.

I have bought domains name in the past that turned out to have been dropped. I've never had any problems getting the sites to rank well again. It seems they get treated just like new sites.

As soon as you add relevant content and start link building I think you can be able to retain the page rank at least.
