I'm running an Oprah related site and getting on the average of 100-200 views/day. Looking to increase that # of views obviously to something higher. Done the digg/stumbleupon/squidoo thing with not much success. Any other suggestions on how to drive traffic to the site? It's a PR2 but don't help in getting additional people.. Hve you ever thought about link exchange or purchasing links on other websites? I've gone from a PR0 to a PR3 in less than 2 months, spending about $100 total with purchasing blogroll links. I've increased traffic from 0 to 200 hits a day from google. Not too bad, but I'm not bragging either...My goal is long term.
I just got my site up, Wordpress blog and blogspot blog that links to my WP blog, squidoo lens that links to my WP blog and blogger blog, posting on related blogs with higher PR etc......started 2 weeks ago. My PR is 0, but take a look and see what you think. I used excerpts from my product sales page to write a free sample report, the link to this report links to my capture page that is in turn linked to a auto-responder message series. I also added a couple of bonuses just for signing up for my list. Inside the free report, is a link to my product sales page. Also have keywords in the title and body hyperlinked to other affiliate product sales pages, and these links are redirected directly through my domain via an index.php page. find some blogs/other sites within your niche or if you dont want to be partnering with your competition then within similar niches eg other tv talkshows, other tv shows, etc and exchange links, volunteer to write some guest blogging pieces etc etc. good quality content is always a good way to make sure the traffic keeps coming back. no point getting it without being able to keep it.
Forum marketing would probably be the way to go. Go to a forum with lots of fans, post some quality content and make friends, then send them to your site.
You can comment at related niche blog or doing some press release. You can even buy some sig link at DP to increase your site PR and back link
Find other forums, also consider hitting up yahoo answers as the links in your posts there are great for driving traffic in the long run.
How many pages of your site are indexed in Google? Try to post as many quality articles as you can, the more pages indexed in Google..the more traffic you get from Search Englines.

Need to put more effort in. I can't really see anything except an easy way for me the find the site that I was really looking for in the first place. It's just not sincere. It seems like you don't even like Oprah, as you seem to also not have anything of value to say about her other than rehashing what she has on her site, no? If that is not the case, then wake up and write reviews and stuff. Be involved. You're not involved just by trying to chase money on her coattails, you see? Posts are too short. And, I know, broken record, but they are weak and un-unique. Don't scrap them, just add more effort from now on. And if you like to write, then post your articles to article directories. Some webmasters may be interested too.

you can also write articles about your site and write press releases. Also promoting in forums is a good way to get traffic
