    Wow... innovation through persecution. The one guy named Grass at the end of the article tried 3 times and finally made it.

    That must be interesting as a member of the coast guard to pull up next to though...

    The story including a photo of the Coast Guard boardng their taxi made it into the local papers here in Australia.
    I guess they will all be deported anyway.
    We get boatloads of refugees here as well but all that happens is that they get placed in refugee camps before being shipped back out....some of them spend years in these camps verging on the desert. Another camp is on an island which is pretty barren, those ones don't even make it ashore in Australia.

    Not a good life, makes us realise how well off we are.
