Dripping Paint

    What is the best way to achieve this type of effect? Here is a graphic I did while trying to figure out a way, as you can see there is more splatter than actual sripping, what I want to do is have it like the star was melting, so to speak.

    Sort of like this, except not so overdone. My graphic is attached, the one below isnt mine.

    Can't you just use the smudge thingy on Photoshop? (Or an AlienSkin plugin)

    I'm no graphics whizz (you might have guessed by my technical terminology). :eek:

    There's plenty of tutorials about dripping paint effects on Google.

    Actually I couldnt find any real good ones for Illustrator. Photoshop works better anyway, Ill try that next time.

    Doing that effect with vector images will be more difficult than if you try do it in photoshop

    do a search for splatters and drips "photoshop custom shapes" I have some and by adding a few splatters scattered around and drips off the bottom/corner edges you can get the effect you want.
