After downing some six liters of water in three hours n the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" (Nintendo game console) contest, Jennifer Strange vomited, went home with a splitting headache, and died from so-called water intoxication.

i think too much of water at one time caused the problem. drinking that much amount of water over a longer period of time like a few more hours wouldnt be as harmful.

Rule #1 - you can’t drink too much water.
Rule #2 - too much salt will kill you eventually.

too much drinking of water is a potentially fatal disturbance in brain functions.

i agree these contests are meaningless. eating or drinking in large amounts and risking your lives for some prize?
i think we need to introduce those guys on this forum. you can earn much more just sitting at home while eating and drinking at your will. :D
