I prefer reading. Here's a quick tip Find two books : 1. Dreamweaver for dummies 2. Dreamweaver unleashed That's what i do... i quickly read the dummies one first to get to know with the topic and then i start studying the unleashed one to get more extensive information. There were some times where i did quick one-week courses on the topic i was interested. Some things need a bit more time to get to know them and make something out of them Best wishes ;-)
I don't usually use Dreamweaver, but reading dreamweaver for dummies actually helps. Trying those basic easy-to-follow books are ideal!
I tried the free trial version, and was totally lost. I decided to use NVU instead, which is a lot easier to use.
Honestly, I think Dreamweaver is self-explainatory. I'd recommend learning to code in textpad over Dreamweaver though.
If you're serious about web development, yes. Learn HTML and CSS. You can still use Dreamweaver but using the code window in split view is better than using design view. Hand written code is far better than code generated by Dreamweaver or Photoshop slicing.
