Okay, I'm NO webdesigner by any means. I usually put up simple pages for my needs. I recently got Dreamweaver and I really like it but I'm learning it. I was thumbing through looking for a template to use for my video creation website. Just something simple where I could put my promo video and a little info on video content. So I picked a template that I kind of liked and deleted the stuff out of it that I didn't like. EXCEPT there's one section I CAN'T get rid of! Ugh, and I hate it, it takes up a whole side of my page AND I can't add any content to that side because I deleted the stuff they had in that section template originally and now I can't even click in it to add stuff - rather than delete it, I decided it might be a good place to put a few samples of videos I've done or something. So, I don't know what info would be needed to help me figure out how to edit that portion of my page in Dreamweaver. Please let me know what info one of you who could help would need to tell me how to modify it or get rid of it. I can put my own table in there to put in the info I want if I can at least get rid of it. Of course, telling me how to just be able to make it where I will be able to click in there again so I can add content there would help too! I'll be happy with either way! It's the site in my signature file. You might not be able to tell anything from just looking at the page itself but it's the box down the right side of my page underneath the smiley. Oh AND, how do I undo a "Dreamweaver Site"? I created one not realizing that it wasn't what I thought it was and now when I try to create files under other sites I get stupid message saying things like "your root folder is (my Dreamweaver site)" and it won't let me do certain things I could do before because now it's relying on this stupid "Dreamweaver site". I hope that all makes sense to you pros! Cause I barely know wth I'm talking about! Live and learn right? Any help is appreciated!!!
I also use Dreamweaver. I dont like using the templates beacuse they are hard to edit. I would start from a blank page and use either divs or tables to organize your content. Here is a great website that will help you get started with dreamweaver. http://inpics.net/dreamweaver.html Hope this helps. John
