Dreamweaver plugin for Wordpress?

Does anybody know or can recommend a decent Dreamweaver plugin for Wordpress. I'm looking one to create/edit Wordpress templates on Dreamweaver CS3 locally.

 

I am also looking for this type of extension.Can anyone help ?

Thanks graphicscale. It says "Right now, it appears the the extension is compatible with Dreamweaver 8 and Dreamweaver MX 2004." Did you test it with DW CS3?

I have also found WP Builder and ThemeDreamer (commercial package)

Does anybody have any experience with them?

 

There's a new extension called ThemeDreamer that's still in beta, but version 1.0 will be released soon. It allows you to create a WordPress theme in Dreamweaver's design view by automatically merging all the WordPress PHP files into one editable page. Themedreamer also simulates live blog data showing a post, image, lists, etc. so you can style them live in the CSS for the theme. It's pretty cool.

Anyone used it ?

 

I use it almost daily. You simply activate the extension and your entire blog is shown in design view. It just simulates blog data, so you don't see your actual blog posts or plugins. It also gives code hints and provides most WP code tags so it really helps out the coding process too. Remember, it's still beta, but you can download a demo to try it out until the next release.

I have tried ThemeDreamer and found that it still needs enhancing some of the existing features and adding further features to become a truly useful tool for non-coders. But, it certainly is a credible step in the right direction.

This is only my own opinion as a prospective user. I'd recommend others to try and find out themselves and share your findings here.

 

can I include this extension in portable dreamweaver version ?

 

I had some issues with portable DW CS3 and reverted back to full install version. So, I can't say if it'd work with portable DW or not but you can try and find it out yourselves. It's just a small plug in.
