Dreamweaver or HTML?

Hi all I hope someone can help me out in this.

I am a content manager and have been using bespoke systems and RedDot, but I'm now leaving my current job and want to know what I should focus on.

I don't know HTML but am not sure if I should train in this or go for dreamweaver instead. I'll need both at some stage but due to time constraints and £ I want to focus on one or the other to give me the best possible chance come September when I leave.

I'd appreciate your professional opinions/guidance on this. What shall I do?

in dream viewer u will get html coding it give u better user interface simple coding will be done automatically. it also give u better use of CSS. you can also use microsoft frontpage

 

Do not even think of using frontpage! Dreamweaver is acceptable and probably your best option as it allows you to concentrate on the UI. But the code it generates is not very good IMO. I started with HTML then used DW and didn't like it so went into using photoshop and then optimising my own code. For a beginner needing fast results go with DW.

 

I agree with joshvelco, as the auto generated dreamweaver code is not very good (not flexible)

go to W3schools.com and learn the basics of HTML and CSS before you use any WYSIWYG editors.

dreamweaver is html.. you use html inside dreamweaver....

dreamweaver is just a tool to make html easier and faster
