I use Dreamweaver CS3, and i have never used Frontpage and never will. Dreamweaver does 90% of what i need and the other 10% is coded by hand

Well this post is really old. Frontpage is no longer really, having been replaced with Expression Web, a much better product. I know, shame on Microsoft for creating a product like Frontpage that allowed small business owners to create their own web presence.

Frontpage was created first with the small business owner in mind. Now Microsoft decided to create a product that virtually screws that small business owner so he can no longer maintain his website but rely on a third party or learn some code himself if he wants to maintain his website.

Expression Web creates fantastic (compliant code) and is much better than Frontpage

I am no expert on web-site development, but just create simple information pages with some affiliate links. I downloaded a free program called Namo Webeditor 4. It's seems to do what I want, and don't know the advantage I would have in buying a more expensive package like Dreamweaver. Everybody seems to speak highly of it, so maybe if I website pulls in lots of hits/customers, I might well invest in it. :)

Neither... Your site and designs will look just like everyone else's.. That is one thing wrong with the internet.. Everybody looks the same.. Learn how to do your own designs and programming and offer something unique.. hey just my advise.. I do not like either. I just used to use dreamweaver to show me Line #'s in my code.

If we had to choose one or the other though I would say almost anything with the microsoft logo on it does not meet the competition... They fall short in everything they do.. Only thing that really came from them worth a hoot lately is... Well.... nothing.. I guess msn dot com is good and hotmail used to be but somehow they have managed to screw that up too... As well Vista just makes me wonder how many dollars and time was wasted just to produce such a turd.. Wait one thing positive did come from them.. XP.

i say use what you like. they both put unnecessary coding in, dreamweaver has a little bit better text editor, but when it comes down to it they are both wysiwyg programs, whatever one you are used to is the one you're gonna use

Dreamweaver is industry standard. And Frontpage is dead.
