Dreamweaver cs6 CSS and Mod question

So just got this new client whom has given me Dreamweaver cs6 to remod all of his sites, personally I have never used it before but kind of need a few tips to make my designing a million times faster.

When I use AP Div (need also to know how to make these divs transition with the screen size) it creates a Div Id. What I want is the CSS ID to transfer to an external stylesheet instead of on top of the page while being able to change the name of the ID to something special.

Dreamweaver is only as complex as you want it to be. if you're a true web designer, you should only have to use the code view and write your code the same way you would with notepad. dreamweaver helps manage the files and also correct errors. at least this is how i use it.

My advice -- any client who 'gives you' Dreamweaver doesn't know enough about websites to be telling you how to do a blasted thing. Forget that bloated steaming pile of *** EVEN EXISTS, and work with the code properly using a flat text editor -- this is DOUBLY true if you are dicking around with the 'AP DIV' wizard garbage, WYSIWYG, or any of the rest of the "How NOT to work on a website" IDIOCY it provides.

Because again, the only thing about Dreamweaver that can be considered professional grade tools are the people promoting it's use. You can learn nothing of value from it, and anyone telling you to use it needs a nice big double helping of Sierra Tango Foxtrot Uniform!
