Dreamweaver as a CMS?

I have a site and I am tired of the way I manage all the pages manually.

My main template is index.php and everything is included in the content area via php includes depending on the link clicked.

Can I manage my site using dreamweaver and whatever page I edit it will automatically update on my site and if I click through links in dreamweaver I can edit their files?

Man I wrote this really poorly but it's hard to explain what I want to do haha

I think you can use include.php features in your index.php pages to control the dynamic content through dreamweaver! but it wont relate to Content Management System because CMS is a ready made dynamic based software that can control your website over web using a particular control panel

heh dreamweaver is an editor, it comes with an utility to connect live to your server which will give you full control of the site.

a cms is for controlling the system from a back-end point of view which will show the end result on the front-end.

Dreamweaver CS5 is not a CMS, but it does have some new features to work with other CMS frameworks like drupal and wordpress.

Dreamweaver can be used to manage the website but i can not be said CMS because you can not use Dreamweaver anywhere online as you can do with Joomla or wordpress.

And to manage the website by Dreamweaver just make the template of your website and define the editable area and not editable area. Now non editable area will be applied on all the pages you will build under the entire template. and this area will not be editable in all the pages expect the template page.

Hi there. I've been using Drupal to build websites for a while now and like the way the website can be built and administered from anywhere. Users can be added and their acces controlled. The only draw back with CMS is that a steep learning curve has to happen afterwhich one realizes the a CMS does not generally allow for the same flexibility of design as dreamweaver.

My question is (to stop the digression), how can one use dreamweaver and Drupal together? I mean Drupal has regions and blocks within which one adds snippets of content for display. Would the best way be to create a page or story in Drupal or Joomla and then leave all the regions free and just place the html from dreamweaver fils into the drupal content area.

Ok right, that was stupid, because in Drupal or any website the images and other elements need to grab the content from elsewhere on the server and dreamweaver builds sites on an offline pc. If one uploads a dreamweaver site the files and folders are automatically created and will not reference Drupal folders right? Or wrong? If I could use Dreamweaver with Drupal in a productive way that would be great. At the moment I feel that nothing really productive can be done between Dreamweaver and Drupal.

    Correct me please.

    Jay
