I've been with Servage for almost 1 year now. I love them almost never any problems. And their offers are great! My biggest site once used 160GB bandwitch in 1 day and no problems :) However they suspend my account for a couple of hours until it was a new day :)

I am having probs with dreamhost. THey say that I can have heaps of bandwidth, but when I use it - my members report 404 errors. Seems that they can't handle the needs of my script. Am looking for alternatives...

    *sigh*

Servage had so many problems, MySQL didn't even work, they had 24 hours of downtime, and couldn't answer my questions.

I unfortunately had to cancel the account; They didn't do a good job :(

I voted dreamhost because they have been in the market for a long time and offer a lot of features for a good price.
They also have this promo coupon thing going on where you can save money on their hosting plan by entering their promotion code.
I saw some on the web, but I pulled dhcoupon.com from the wiki.

Yeah I guess most people seem to go with DreamHost then because of their discounts.. servage doesn't seem to have extremely large discounts that blow your mind.

I've used DreamHost for a while, tried to host a proxy website off it, got atleast 3 days on it then had to take it off. But overall the service is ok, get what you pay for, downtime hasn't be long (only 1 day out of 3 months) and my other websites are doing fine.

Dreamhost is pretty damn good for uptime and I must say it has had the best average uptime from all the hosts I've used. The problem with dreamhost though is they don't update stay up to date with all the latest server modules and when your trying to run scripts which require the most up to date technology your going to run into some problems at Dreamhost. Otherwise I don't think you can beat dreamhost anywhere else when it comes to shared hosting!
