I was browsing ebay earlier, and came across this:

The seller is actually advertising the domain as income.com haha.
£5,000 ? for 1ncome.com?

I wonder if there is anyone silly enough out there to actually bid on it

 

One time I saw someone selling a really stupid site for like $8,000, so I emailed him saying he was stupid, and I used some language, and then he reported me to eBay. What a wuss.

 

So if you have a stupid domain name, there can be even more stupid people out there willing to buy it from you for $x.xxx?

Most domain values are clear cut to those in the know but there will always be surprise sales at both ends of the spectrum as there are so many variables in buyers minds,needs and experience level.

 

It's market driven. If there are buyers with money to invest in something - regardless how seemingly overpriced it may seem to you or others - there will always be sellers with product ready in hand to sell...
