Dream: YPN payout + Adsense technology

We are all frustrated with YPN's inability to compete with adsense when it comes to targeting. Many of us including myself would retire rich by now if YPN's targeting was as accurate as google's.

I think the market needs a third player who can deliver and pay better than adsense.

YPN payout + Adsense technology = gold mine :)

I am not familiar with YPN. Is YPN really paying that better than adsense?

Velocity, the day before yesterday I ran 50/50 split between YPN and adsense, and YPN paid me 8.9 times more than adsense for each click. That's also one of YPN's worst days. Adsense compensates this HUGE GAP (partially) with more targeted ads.

The problem is, it's almost impossible for that to happen. The reason why YPN pays more per click is because of how the ads are shown: whoever pays more, shows up first. So you have someone bid $1 on a keyword, but they create bad ad-copy (for that particular site that is) thus have a low click through rate. Whereas Adsense uses a combination of both, but leans closer to the click through/landing page area.

Yahoo is actually looking into moving toward using both ad quality and bid amount to decide which ads to display.
