Drastic Decreases in Google Traffic, then Slightly back up?

Has this happen to any one else, we were getting 1,500-2,000 hits a day, then it dropped to 70, now its up to 300. Odd?

 

Man you are not only one who is facing this problem. Almost everyone these days having this experience. So be cool and calm and continue with your work...................

 

Oh I am, I was also curious if any one fell off like us, and made it back to where they fell of at, and what they had to do?

 

I didn't get such drop but if you search in search engine optimization section of dp then you wud find number of threads on this topic and most people have condition like you have. And many of them got their ranking back. So same thing i hope for you.................

Ya.. Its hard to find out the reason, the problem is faced by many (specially new sites). There can be many reason specially if your site is new.. google panelty, wrong seo done, google dance or anything... but only thing you can do is continue with your best efforts and you will acheive all you need.

 

Thats too big a drop just to discount, find out what you did differently during those dates, what your competition is upto an how they were getting above you.

The whole path to success is based on you looking at twhere things go right and wrong and improving on the things that fail!

 

I had a similar drop in traffic from Google images, don't think it's because of ALT Tags though.

Managed to regain the majority of my traffic

 

It's a big drop and small up later. Might be Google dance, wait for few days and then see if you comes back or not.

 

I have not experienced such a huge drop, but very frequently minor drops in traffic.
If your site is in good standing with google, my guess is that the traffic will come back.

we're experiencing a similar problem. We haven't had googlebot visit our site since August 31st! What's is going on?????

But that is really a big drop in traffic. Sometimes it happened when google is dancing. But have you notice any rank changes in your main keyword serp?

 

Been going on for two weeks on most of my sites. All white hat SEO, unique content, quality sites. PR hasn't dropped but traffic and SERPS are disappearing fast. Some days are better than others.

 

Do you still rank the same in SERPs, or your ranking in google was dropped?
