Drastic change in impressions

I'm really confused by this and have no answers. I have been using adwords for quite a while and was receiving a good amount of impressions/clicks until two days ago.

    Here is what I mean.
    Jan 21st - Impressions = 6,039,780
    Jan 22nd - Impressions = 6,529,093
    Jan 23rd - Impressions = 789,104

And today looks to be even lower than the 23rd.

I have not made any changes to my keywords for several weeks... Any ideas of how this can happen?

What's weird is that the 23rd numbers are where I was a couple weeks ago, then a huge jump happened to where all the days were like the 21st and 22nd. Now it has gone back to the old numbers... I'm not sure why it would go up and down like that. It's a pretty substantial difference.

Seasonal or tied to an event perhaps? Any budget issues?

None of those, I've never come close to my allowable daily budget and none of my keywords are seasonal.

    1. Possible new competitors on the same words (either pushed you off the first page or moved you off some of the content)?
    2. If you're an affiliate then somebody may be using the same display URL and is bumping you off (google doesn't allow two ads using the same domain).
    3. Maybe a change in the site which has affected the quality score.
    4. Something stupid like you mistakenly changed languages, countries etc.

    Possibly #1.
No to #2 as it's my website I'm promoting
Possibly #3, I moved servers last week but both servers are still up and functioning right now. So that really should cause it.
No to #4, haven't made any changes on my AdWords account for several weeks.

Here is what I have been experiencing for the past week. Prior to a week ago, I was receiving click after click. However, in the past week or so, I have had my ads very close to the top and no one is clicking. No change in my ad text, no change in anything. The only thing that I can think of is another advertising has changed their ad text and has increased their CTR, while decreasing mine.

Another possible explanation (although somewhat far fetched) is that someone filed for a trademark and it was approved. Which leads to the following questions:
    1. Have you witnessed a drop in all of your words or just a few of them, if just a few what does the magnifying glass next to them say.
    2. Is most of the drop a result of content or search?

I don't believe that's it because all the keywords are sending traffic still, just not as much. Well it was good while it lasted :)

#1 - You've edit your ads and they've been sent to review queue again, so you need to wait they be approved to get content network traffic again (check your search and content network numbers separately [impressions] on 22nd and 23rd and provide they here so we can help you better).

#2 - Landing Page quality Score change (as told by GFC) - Google crawled you landing page and updated your QS (some times take up to a month to updated it) - I already see changes like that - sometimes the problem is invisible and tough when you have a large amount of keywords and your best converting keywords (and more competitive) stop getting impressions after a QS decrease (your best converting keywords stopped for your account!) , so after it you just don't know why your overall conversions decrease like hell but you continue to pay almost the same amount to Google (as your less converting keyword continue to receive impressions and clicks) - keep your eyes open!

#3 - This is probably is not the case, but it is interesting: Some specialist detected that you are doing something wrong/suspicious on your account and manually flagged your account to run in slow status - I already managed a account with this case when a user was using misspelling on display URL ( like "www.appIe.com" ) or on Description text ( like "buy N0kia ringtones" ) - your account get almost no traffic when flagged, like you have tons of inactive keywords but all your keywords are active - so you ask support to review the account and they say: "yes we will review the account as soon you solve these misspelling problems" - is interesting that they decided this kind of punishment instead of ban or just disapprove the ads.

Thanks for the input. The only plausible solution is the QS. I haven't made any changed and am doing nothing of the black hat sort on my site.

Guess I'll have to work on the quality though I thought it was pretty good.
