it shows that he's banned :/ Hecky got it right from the beginning ,, lmao yep .. he got it right from the imageshack , he didn't ever bother to upload it to his website .. delete it rightaway
NsaneNoob : Ooh .. maybe you should report his host or something ? if not just move on , using your entry only shows that you're a talented designer
It is not about the money at this point. I just don't like scammers. They make me work. But it's my fault tho, too foolish. $200 is too much money coming from a website like that.
Yeah I didn't want to butt in incase I was wrong, but just by reading some of his last posts you can see that he's a 15 year old, which is a tip off, but like I said I didn't want to judge.. weirder things have happened besides rich teenagers
Anyone reported him yet? If not, I'm willing to do. You guys are great artists, and I don't want you to be scammed
Well, to be honest...he did say he'd been testing the logos out on this site earlier on, then he got banned (which im sure he didn't plan..) so maybe his intentions are totally honourable. We shall have to wait and see if the logo disappears from the site.
Next time guys don't forget to watermark your artworks with or without i-trader rating you cant be too sure. They may use the images off-line. For the past two months been guarding the contest thread against unscrupulous CH's and found that some artworks were used offline (shirt/ software box non-web related items). Again to protect your work I suggest that you keep the watermark opacity down to a minimum of 20%. And save work to a maximum of 80%. Well that's just my suggestion. It's still up to you (especially the newcomers) DP is a handful for the moderators to keep track of each thread. I think every active member here at BUY N SELL / CONTEST Thread should be very vigilant against these type of persons (thieves). Let help each other out.
The only way you can deal with theft is following through all the way. If you do not do your homework and find out who the individual is, and contact their host and take legal action, then the practice will continue because then they know they can get away with it. Watermarking is always a good idea, but will not stop theft. Retzeo is correct: upload low-res images (guilty myself of not doing so).
@xpressions - yeah guilty of uploading hi-res images too but I embed several visible & invisible watermarks. Great input
