    This is really unfortunate and not at all expected...our main site and DNS is hosted on a VPS while clients' sites are hosted on 2 dedicated servers.

    Though the VPS is from a reputed service provider in the US, there seems to be a network outage. Even if both of our dedicated servers are online, the DNS isn't resolving and proxies are naturally down.

    I'm severely worried of this and I understand it's hurting your business and mine too :(

    This time, I plan to have a more robust DNS setup after this issue is solved.

    Till then, please cooperate...network outage is something out of my control...I know it's not an excuse, but it's hurting my reputation too.

    No this is not a joke and we aren't kiddies promising unlimited stuff, offering one-off fee plans or running with your money by the night.

    Downtimes do occur (proxy hosts are more prone to downtime due to high resource usage) with every server. And our dedicated servers are still running OK, only the DNS servers on VPS is out due to network outage.

    And yes, we believe in honest business. In fact we credited client accounts last time we had a few hours of downtime without being asked for.

    A lot of our clients will certainly say that they have received quite good service, customer support from cloakhost till date.

    BTW, this is not the time to argue with someone...I'm seriously disturbed.

    That's because I pointed them back to my GoDaddy hosting so at least the names resolve for my users to know we haven't disappeared completely.

    I have just redirected them back to ns1/2.cloakhost.com. We'll see if they resolve.

    My client area and my proxy has been down for a couple of hours now. I'm not sure whats wrong but I just bought a new domain and was going to start advertising it. Now I cant.

    My proxy's are down again, yesterday was it a DNS server problem and now is cloak 1 down.
    The interruption of the proxy hosting service yesterday caused a significant loss of traffic, and now busy with promoting to get some traffic back, again my sites are down.!

    Yeah...I have no words to apologise...I know how clients feel...but they should also think that the owner is in 10 times stress when the service goes down...yes, I do care for the reputation I have earnt for this company...it's really frustating when it goes in no time. :(

    Cloak1 server should be up...I'm in touch with the DC and think it's a faulty RAM (not sure). However, the internittent downtime HAS to be stopped and that's the top priority for me in the next few days.

    Clients on cloak2 server might have been experiencing a little slowness for the past 2-3 days. We have investigated into the issue and found a user was abusing our bandwidth; ie-his proxy demands a dedicated (using over 30GB a day avg.) but he is using our shared proxy hosting.

    A notice has been sent to the abusing user and I hope other proxies on cloak2 will be faster from tomorrow.

    Well, the billing cycle for personal plan has purposely been made quartely to avoid high paypal fees (if done monthly).

    If you have any problem in that time, we generally offer a prorated refund.
