    if you are a client,
    do you want to have a little thumbnail beside the link title or not?
    which one is better?

    I think the op's asking for suggestions, not submissions.

    Personally I'm not bothered about thumbnails.

    What I'm more concern about is my anchor text. It does not matter if there's a thumbnail beside by link or not.

    britishguy are appyling to be a mod or something? just report thread don't just add another off topic post.
    adding a thumbnail can enhance the look of your directory.

    thumbnails are just for looks and i only offer them to featured customers as they tend to get more clicks then directories without...
    But agree like above it depends on the template being used and also whether the directory owners wished to have or not...
