What type of work? Many people work ONLY from here, so there is generally not a problem. Just be sure you read and understand ALL of the rules here. That means you need to hit up each and every board here to read it's sticky threads (especially down in the buy/sell/trade forums) and check out the FAQ/RULES link at the top of the page.
Also spend some time reading the threads so that you get a feel of the conversations and how they flow in the specific forums.
